Impressive, deep and noble nose. Blackberries, blackberries, cherries, fresh wood shavings, coffee, cocoa, a touch of graphite and a nicely dosed arsenal of herbs. Exceptional structure and mouthfeel. The finale is an impressive apotheosis of this exceptional wine experience. Great class!
In any case, a crowning achievement of any exclusive meal, but above all a wine that makes special or exceptional moments come into their own. Exceptional class!
- climate
-
Maritime climate with mild, wet winters. (Sometimes with heavy rainfall) Summers are very warm with many hours of sunshine which ensures optimum ripening of the vines.
- soil
-
A 5 ha hillside with sediments from the Garonne with a fair amount of clay and small stones in the subsoil perfectly oriented to the South-West. A paradise for vines.
- vinification
-
67% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc and 3% Cabernet Sauvignon. Each plot is vinified separately and strictly selected with special triage on size of the grapes and on optimal ripeness. Fermentation half on new oak and half on stainless steel. Malolactic fermentation again half on new and half of the barrels in which the vinification took place. 16 months of maturation takes place in the same barrels.
